Parallels licensing is just do terrible. I don't mind a onetime purchase, but making it a subscription is a PITA, plus I'd need Professional so I can run multiple VMs at once. I still have a .edu email I can use so maybe I can get the educators discounted version.

Base iPad goes on sale for $250 regularly and will be better and more supported than any android tablet. Go with that.

Yeah man, I hate it. I really dislike Parallels but it's really the only option on Apple Silicon. At this point I've made my peace with the $100/yr expense. Looks like they have a black friday deal right now, maybe that's worth grabbing.

The 4000 series cards haven’t the sort of uptake that the 1000 or 3000 series did, and Ampere partly moved because of mining. Even the 2060 is very popular while the only Lovelace card that’s made a dent is the 4070, about 2% of the Steam hardware survey. AIBs have called the 4080 their worst selling card ever in terms of excess stock that they’re sitting with, and that has a tiny bit more share than the 4090.

Nvidia aren’t even bothering to compete with themselves in gaming right now. ML hardware is where they’re making bank, whole server farms filled with expensive A100 cards.

I'm sure they sold millions of 3060s, that's for sure.
