Nintendo Direct 3DS Games Wrap-up
Nintendo provides details for 8 upcoming 3DS titles.
Hey! Pikmin
Olimar is set to return in the new Pikmin game coming exclusively to the 3DS family this summer. New Pikmin Amiibo figures will release on the same day: July 28.
Ever Oasis
Coming June 23, the action RPG Ever Oasis will be hitting the 3DS. Originally announced at E3 2016, Ever Oasis is developed by Grezzo, the same team who is known for their work on the newer versions of Majora’s Mask and Ocarina of Time.
Monster Hunter Stories
Capcom’s turn-based RPG will be making its way to western markets Fall 2017. It’s not yet clear if the corresponding amiibo will be coming to the west as well.
Yo-Kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters
The new, definitive edition fo Yo-Kai Watch 2 will be released this Fall. Nintendo announced that it will have an expanded new multiplayer during today’s direct.
Culdcept Revolt
In celebration of its 20th anniversary, Nintendo will be launching Culdcept Revolt on August 29 for 3DS. The card-based strategy game launched last year in Japan.
RPG Maker FES
Hitting 3DS on June 27 players will be able to craft and design their own games which they can then upload and share for other players to experience. RPG Maker FES will be available in both standard and special editions.
Miitopia
One of the weirder games detailed at today’s direct, Miitopia is a game where players can create Mii characters of their friends and family for “a customized RPG experience.” The game will be turn-based, the Mii’s you create will serve as party members. Miitopia is set to launch later this year.
Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
It was announced back in January that Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia will be releasing May 19. Today it was revealed that there will be a season pass, offering players new maps, dungeons, and more.
Bye-Bye BoxBoy!
The game was originally scheduled for a late March release, but suffered some minor delays - the good news is that Bye-Bye BoxBoy! Is now available on the 3DS eShop! Coming from HAL Laboratory, a developer that gamers may recognize as the team behind the Kirby series, Bye-Bye BoxBoy! Is a puzzle-platformer and serves as the third (and final) installment in a trilogy of games. There is currently a demo available for all three BoxBoy titles in the eShop, starting today.
