Final Fantasy 15's Patch 1.05 released today and it's added support for improved performance for PS4 Pro, the Booster Pack DLC, and several new features. Update 1.05 also brings an increase to the level cap, and you can now raise Noctis and friends up to level 120. The Camera Roll size has been increased yet again to 200 pictures, and you can now listen to any soundtracks you purchase in-game, including the new Nier and Nier Automata, tracks added this patch while riding on a Chocobo as opposed to just in the Regalia. There are also new Timed Quests that allow players to take on a multitude of monsters.

The biggest part of the Final Fantasy 15 1.05 update is arguably the touted improvements to PlayStation 4 support. Previously, the game was only available at 30 frames per second via the two PS4 Pro options of lite and high. Lite keeps the game at 1080p, and the update uncaps the framerate on this mode to allow a possibility of 60fps. PS4 high mode still is capped at 30fps but uses checkerboarding to raise the resolution to 1800p and also has some additional enhanced visual features.

Today also marks the introduction of the Booster Pack + for Season Pass holders and this DLC contains a new sword, Ragnarok, that comes with a powerful Warp-strike, and a new fishing rod and reel. Booster Pack + was supposed also feature the Magitek Exosuits, but after comments that the armor was too close to that of the Power Rangers, Square Enix has postponed their release.

Another feature FFXV patch 1.05 adds is Timed Quests. Players can find Timed Quests under the quests menu in-game and proceed to the location marked to begin them. The first Timed Quest pits the player against 100 Slactuars and Cactuars, and although the rewards are great, you better go in prepared.

Square Enix has done a great job supporting Final Fantasy 15 and listening to fans so far. Next months updates will bring changes to Chapter 13 of the game, a part that many fans felt wasn't up to par with the rest of the title. There will also be new DLC for Season Pass holders in the form of the Episode Gladio story DLC. The next round of Final Fantasy 15 updates is set to release on March 28.

Hasn't been that long since it was released. If there is a PC release, it'll still be another year or so at the least.

I'm just guessing, but I have a hard time thinking Sony would give up the rights to a big ticket item that sells systems that quickly.

This is true, but on the flip side Sony usually allows PC releases as well on big games so you never know.

Its a good reason to push both PS4s but to tell you the truth there are so many insane PS4 titles coming out this year you be crazy not to have a PS4 or Pro by now. I would think by the end of the year almost everyone will have one.

So it may come out sooner than later on the PC. No matter how you look at it you can never build a PC that is $249 + comes with a game(Uncharted 4) and that can run the high quality games that the PS4 has @ 1080p 60 like the base model of the PS4. Also for a extra $100 for the Pro there is nothing in the PC world that can run 4K and sub 4K at the detail and level of quality that the Pro does for that price its really INSANE! Sony owns.

So in short they are two separate markets to me and always will be, your regular/majority console market does not PC game and those that do will have both.

I really hope it comes to the PC.

It'll make it eventually. Damn near every mainline Final Fantasy game is on Steam right now.

Eurogamer said it barely hits 45fps and frequently dips in the "60fps" mode :(

Yeah lots of accounts of the game being unplayable due to the judder of the variable frame rate and frame pacing.
