Rocket League Getting a Line of Toy Cars

Pull them back and watch them go.

Rocket League has been all kinds of successful since it launched in 2015. So the next logical step for developer Psyonix is some sort of merchandising. How about toy cars?

In a partnership with Zag Toys, Psyonix is launching a new line of Original Minis Pull-Back Racers  with 12 battle cars will be available in their own Rocket Ball. Octane, Dominus, Masamune, Hotshot, Grog, X-Devil, Merc, and Backfire will included in the lineup, along with four limited variations. The cars work best on carpet - Just pull them back and let go.

Psyonix is also planning some extra content in conjunction with the new toys. Some racers will include a redeemable code to unlock a special rocket trail and wheel.

The cars will be available some time this Spring, but no price has yet been released. All the cars are part of a blind bag system, which means you won't know what car you are getting when you buy it, which encourages you to buy more if you are a completionist.

Actually kinda surprised it took this long. I wish it would have been a partnership with Hot Wheels or something though. Those things look like cheap plastic crap. :(

They wouldn't be much use as pull-backs if they were heavy die-cast cars.

      Surprised they're not remote control.
