Ubisoft Announces For Honor Season Pass and Future Content
For Honor's future brings heroes, maps, and more.
For Honor is getting a season pass as announced by Ubisoft today. The For Honor Season Pass will include early access to new heroes, elite outfits, and a Day One War Pack which includes emblems, emotes, three crates, and XP Boosts. Ubisoft stated that it would be supporting the game by releasing free content across three Seasons which would include new maps, modes, and gear, some of which will be available to season pass holders early.
All For Honor Season Pass content, except for the elite outfits and six additional heroes, will be available upon the game's release. The game will get two new heroes per Season of Faction War. While Season Pass holders will get early-access to the six heroes as they make their debuts, after the early-access period, all players will have to purchase the new heroes using the Steel in-game currency.
On launch day, For Honor Season Pass holders will get a Day One War Pack. The Day One War Pack contains:
- An exclusive sunbeam effect on emotes.
- Three unique emblem outlines.
- Three scavenger crates that players can unlock for additional gear.
Thirty days of Champion Status that will allow players to give XP boosts to their friends and receive more XP from crafting as well as additional loot at the end of matches.
The For Honor Season Pass comes with the Gold Edition of the game or can be purchased separately. You can start playing For Honor during the Open Beta that runs from February 9-12, or when it releases on February 14, 2017.

I think people hoped / assumed that the DLC would provide more story content but instead it's different game play modes. A survival DLC, a PvP DLC, and a random mission generator for co-op.
Beyond that, there's the standard issue and conflict where balancing PvP impacts the fun people are having (or think they're having) in PvE and players get tired of having to grind for new equipment to regain the effectiveness they had prior to the previous game balancing efforts.

Check this guy out. He is crazy good. The mindgames he does and the depth of fighting that goes on made me rethink the whole system.

I was dueling and brawling with the Conqueror (flail and shield) and there's tons of situational awareness in the maps. Taking higher ground at the tops of stairs makes a difference, which is something you rarely see. Of course, you can mess people up by shoving them off ledges or into fire and steaming geysers. Don't battle on a bridge if you're up against classes that shove.
Stamina matters too, although I wish it'd be even more strict, since you can really hurt someone out of stamina.
You definitely have to change your play strategies depending on what class you're up against because there's a large variety of strengths and weaknesses of each class.
Really top notch gameplay. I don't play lots of online games but this one is day one for me after that beta.
