Fallout 4 update next week adds PS4 Pro support, high res textures for PC
Make sure your PC has a high-end processor and graphics card with 8GB RAM.
Fallout 4 continues to get updates, and the latest coming next week for PS4 players and PC users could make them happy and sad at the same time.
The PS4 update adds PS4 Pro support, so if you don't have a Pro, move along. If you do have a Pro, tthen you will soon be able to bask in:
- Native 1440p resolution
- Enhanced draw distance for trees, grass, objects and NPCs
- Enhanced Godray effects
As for PC users, Fallout 4 will get a high resolution texture pack that will require a really high-end PC and near top-of-the-line graphics card. So check your specs now (note that these are recommended):
- Intel Core i7-5820K or better
- GTX 1080 8GB
- 8GB+ RAM
You will also need 58GB of space on your hard drive to download it.
There is no date for update 1.9 other than some time next week. Good news indeed for everyone that had extra money to burn on their gaming systems.
