Battlefield 1 servers going offline tomorrow to add Fall Update
The game will stagger downtime between platforms.
Battlefield 1's servers will be going offline tomorrow (November 15) for an hour so that the new Fall Update can be added to the game.
The downtime will be staggered between platforms, with PC servers going down first, then PS4 and finally Xbox One. Here's the schedule:
- PC: Multiplayer will be offline for 1h starting 3 AM ET / midnight PT.
- PS4: Multiplayer will be offline for 1h starting 5 AM ET / 2 AM PT.
- Xbox One: Multiplayer will be offline for 1h starting 7 AM / 4 AM PT.
No word yet on what the update will change or fix, but as usual, the patch notes will be available once the update is live.

Telescopic BAR is basically the one lmg that doesn't straight up suck. Everything else is pretty much outmatched in dmg, rof, and falloff. If I use the madsen from the doors at C on ballroom to the closest raised walkway I'm hitting the dmg floor and going to get lit by someone with any other weapon.
-
Because if I'm lined up and chugging away at someone with the LMG and he can turn around and pistol me with one shot something is wrong. A LMG should inspire terror, not a caviler attitude that can be remedied with a pistol... A fucking pistol is more deadly than a LMG... I think that's my main problem with the game in general, each class seems to have one good gun and the rest are trashy.

Yes this. Sometimes rounds come to a camping standstill until the mortars rounds start flying. I have never had a problem getting killed by mortar too many times where I thought it was an annoyance. I think its cool when you start seeing mortar shells exploding around you and then you know to get the fuck out of that area.

that would be a tragedy to nerf mortars. there are already numerous drawbacks to using it as is. you already are opening yourself up to getting murdered, airburst mortars are not one hit kills even if you land it on someone's head. it's extremely useful for breaking up pockets of stationary infantry without running straight at them and get killed. usually when i see mortars exploding around me, it's a queue to gtfo of the area, not stand around and wait for the 2nd one to land on my head.
the anti-vehicle ones barely do enough damage to be worthwhile and the vehicles move too fast to spend the time and open yourself up to be killed to try and line up a hit that's only going to do 16 damage anyway.-

Except, i can mortar you, as the first shot is in the air, see EXACTLY where you are. Fire my second shot at you and even if you run any direction i can spam mouse1 and drop 2-3 bombs on your head.
Its just janky that its basically direct-fire mortar. Its ez-mode choke point spam for people who hide behind cover.
And dont give me the "im exposed" argument. On operations you can fall in a trench 90m away from any threat lob them up and get 2-3 kills and then go fight, wait the 30 sec for the mortar to respawn and do it again. Its no skill and cheap. Remove the overhead camera of the actual live map and the mortar is fine.-

Yeah, the birds eye view of the mortar dropping seems cheap but you kind of want some feedback like that.
I was hoping they would bring back the artillery spotting binoculars for scouts from 1942, but they didn't That system worked great, and required some teamwork. Mortars aren't really long enough range to fully require that all over, but if you were within range of a spot maybe you would tap into that view then. Otherwise just go by the map.

The hunter is VERY finicky to movement. So if you fire it completely still. Youll do great. If you move a bit, the spread is super inconsistant. The factory variant with the hipfire is better. The spread is very consistant moving full speed. I usually prefer that over the hunter despite u only being able to shoot about 10-15m

I'm thinking:
- Shotgun rebalance (mostly the A10 Hunter is so massively superior there's no point in any of the others existing).
- Some kind of love for LMGs that aren't the BAR.
- Mortar nerf (will probably cripple its recharge/rearm rate like I think they did in BF3).
- Slight flak gun nerf (maybe it won't stunlock planes so hard).
- Gas grenade rearm speed reduction.
- Maybe some kind of airship/train/battleship nerfs or deployment readjustment?
I'm hoping for:
- Loadout customization in the main menu.
- The revised Suez that I think they talked about.
- Attack plane and bomber tail gun nerf (thing does ~1,000,000 times the DPS of the fighter plane's guns).
- Friendly gas grenades no longer cause the blurry screen bullshit.
- Medal system rework (no need to activate a specific one, and objectives changed to promote teamwork and objective play).
