Steam Stores gets redesigned with Discovery Update 2.0 release
Valve has released a major update for its Steam Store, and just in time for its upcoming Autumn and Winter sales.
Valve has launched a major update to its Steam Store that brings new functionality as well as a refreshed look to the storefront.
Discovery Update 2.0 adds more quick-access links to common destinations, more customization options directly from each game title, a list of recently viewed titles, games trending with friends, expanded curators information, updated games, and much more.
The new Steam Store will also attempt to improve the recommendation experience through the use of new logic to help determine what to show based on your playtime, friend recommendations, curators you follow, and more. The update also makes it easier to highlight titles that have received an update, have special events, are on sale, or have been recommended by curators.
The new Steam Store is now available for all Steam users and can be accessed in its standalone application or online. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the new Steam Store as you're going to need it once its Autumn and Winter sales begin.
