Report: analysts expect Nintendo to 'release NX details by early October'
The consensus is that the system will be a console/handheld hybrid.
Amid reports of Nintendo's stock soaring higher than Mario equipped with P-Wing power following its announcement of Super Mario Run, analysts told the Wall Street Journal that they expect the company to "release NX details by early October."
Nintendo's due to (finally) pull the NX rabbit out of its hat. Poring over financial statements revealed that Nintendo plans to launch NX in March 2017 alongside The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for both Wii U and NX, with new Mario and Pokemon games following on its heels.
That leaves roughly five months to educate consumers and buyers on what, exactly, the NX is. Reports from sources close to Nintendo claim the NX will take the form of a tablet-style console/handheld hybrid that you can hook up to your TV while at home, then detach and play on the go. Other reports indicate detachable controllers, and games running on cartridges instead of optical discs.
Still other reports claim the NX will be compatible with Nintendo's smartphone games—meaning you might be able to play Super Mario Run, Pokemon Go, and Miitomo on the same console that runs Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

It is kind of nuts that this console is ~6 months from it's scheduled release and people still have no idea what the hell it is, other than it uses cartridges. The handheld stuff is more than likely true but then for every rumor about it being an arm based handheld there is another saying it is an x86 based console.
I just want them to announce a damn thing, and more importantly announce some damn games.
