Battlefield 1 early access codes will go out tomorrow, August 30
Everyone can join the open beta, on all platforms, beginning Wednesday.
EA confirmed via its official Battlefield Twitter account that players who signed up for Insider before August 21 will receive keys to participate in Battlefield 1's early access program beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, August 30, one day before the open beta begins. The beta will run on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, and participants will get to play on their platform of choice.
While early access codes will be distributed tomorrow, an exact start time hasn't been given. EA may announce one, or it might enable servers and send out invites in waves.
Additionally, EA issued another tweet explaining that developers are still nailing down recommended specs for PC, so PC players have no way of knowing whether they'll be able to run the game just yet. "The teams at EA and DICE are still optimizing the game. Recommended PC specs will be published shortly. Stay tuned."
Other information is more concrete. Participants will wage war on Sinai Desert, a veritable melting pot of horseback combat, planes, and other old-meets-new elements that defined WWI. Two modes, Conquest and Rush, will be available, and matches support up to 64 players.
If you didn't become a Battlefield Insider before August 21, don't worry. Battlefield 1 launches on October 21, which isn't so far away.
