Pokemon Go sheds 15 million daily users in one month
Even though the game is still popular, the bubble has burst.
According to data compiled by Axiom Capital Management and published by Bloomberg, more than 15 million active daily users have retired their Pokeballs.
Axiom Capital's charts only log activity through August 18, the middle of last week. That means activity could have dropped even more since they were compiled.
Pikachu's bumming, but other app developers are likely elated. "Given the rapid rise in usage of the Pokemon Go app since the launch in July, investors have been concerned that this new user experience has been detracting from time spent on other mobile focused apps," said Axiom's senior analyst Victor Anthony.
Meaning, other social-focused apps such as Facebook and Snapchat might see more activity as Pokemon Go fanatics turn their attention to activities they enjoyed before the allure of converging on residences and businesses to battle other trainers and capture gyms consumed their lives.
As Pokemon Go-mania dissipates, interest in augmented reality follows. These findings come from other charts that show a stronger interest in VR.

Yeah, it was fun for awhile. But I pretty much for forced into only collecting shitty Pokémon. Since I don't play often, and I didn't choose to bot/spoof, there was nothing I could do with gyms. They were all filled with 1.5k CP Pokémon by the time I was still leveling my most powerful Pokémon to 500 CP.
Ingress had a similar problem, but it didn't seem nearly as unbalanced. There were plenty of portals way out of my level range, but I could still find plenty of unclaimed portals to claim or even portals with a few low level generators I could attack.
With Pokémon Go it was impossible to do anything with gyms. Got boring collecting Pokémon for no real reason. -
you can play pokemon go in minecraft now so theres no point in doing it IRL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrx9daOVj7U

Not an expert on this but could it be related to summer ending and the school year beginning?
In Downtown Dallas I saw throngs of kids running around in groups looking for pokemons. School started Monday, no more kids.
When a good chunk of your users go from lots of free time to less free time it makes sense there would be a drop off.
