Oceanhorn 2 announced as a third-person action-adventure title
A new Oceanhorn game has been announced, and with it, we learn the series will now be played at a third-person perspective.
Cornfox & Brothers have announced it is currently developing the sequel to its The Legend of Zelda-like adventure game, Oceanhorn, called Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm.
Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm will feature a different Hero from the original game, a boy who has been trained to become a Knight of Arcadia, and is set in another time period within the Oceanhorn timeline.
Instead of being played at an isometric angle, Oceanhorn 2 promises to bring players closer to the action as it’ll be played from a third-person camera angle. The battle system will consist of the combination of sword fighting, powerful spells, and the use of various items the Hero discovers during his adventure.
One such key item is the Caster, which is a gun-shaped device that is capable of shooting magical projectiles. The Caster can not only be used to combat enemies, but to also solve puzzles and casting directed spells.
Oceanhorn 2 will also feature a traversable world map that consists of fields, forests, mountains, and water. The world map will serve as a hub that the Hero can use to visit dungeons, towns, and other points of interest.
Oceanhorn 2 currently has no release date nor were any platforms announced. Given the original Oceanhorn made its way to PC and consoles, we wouldn’t be surprised if Oceanhorn 2 did the same.
