We already know to expect something big to come out of Sony’s special press event in New York City in a couple of weeks, but over the weekend, a report by the Wall Street Journal has hinted at a “one more thing” moment may also be coming.

In addition to the possible reveal of the PlayStation 4 Neo, the Wall Street Journal claims Sony will introduce a new standard PlayStation 4 model. Whether the new model would be a slimmer PlayStation 4 is unknown at this time, but images of such a device made its way around the Internet yesterday as it appeared on eBay. Unfortunately, at the time of this writing, it appears the listing was taken down.

Considering how large of an event Sony made its PlayStation 4 reveal a few years ago, we wouldn’t be surprised if the company also had a slimmer PlayStation 4 to reveal. Given the Xbox One S is currently being sold, it’s about time Sony reveals its plans for a slimmer PlayStation 4, that is if wants to be the least bit competitive this holiday season.
