Pokemon Go achieves 30M downloads milestone; earns over $35M in revenue
That's a lot of Pokemon Trainers.
Pokemon Go has been considered a hit nearly as soon as Nintendo and Niantic released the game in North America and additional countries. Today, we’re learning Pokemon Go has become the fastest mobile game to reach 10 million downloads worldwide and has earned over $35 million in net revenue.
The information comes to us from Sensor Tower as it has used its Store Intelligence platform to report Pokemon Go reached 10 million downloads within seven days of its release. The game currently has over 30 million downloads, with iPhone owners in the US spending approximately $1.6 million on the game every day and has become the top-grossing mobile game on both iOS and Android.
The amount of time players are spending in Pokemon Go is also extremely impressive as on average, iOS users are spending 33m 25s every day in the game. To compare, Facebook users log in 22m 8s, Snapchat users log in 18m 7s, and Twitter users log in 17m 56s each day. We’re not surprised though as players feel the need to catch ‘em all on a daily basis, so we could see that number steadily rise as Niantic continues to improve the Pokemon Go experience.
