Last night, 6 teams fought it out for Shacknews Rocket League glory in a 3 v 3 double elimination tournament. Check out the full bracket. The Loser's Bracket Finals pitted 4 Time Shacknews Champions, Team Whoops (skizl, TheQuad, and vov1n), against Team 311 (foo, peat, and hemtroll). Please take a look.

After a hard fought contest, Team Whoops moved on to a Round 2 rematch with Team Beej (MercFox1, ieGod, and some ringer that only has 4 posts named ninethlion). Would Team Whoops be able to avenge their Round 2 defeat? Would Team Beej secure their first title and a place in Shacknews History? Watch the Finals to find out!

Congratulations to the winners of the tournament! Thanks to all the teams who participated and a very special thanks to our Commissioner, foo. He is a relentless champion of Rocket League and does a great job rallying the troops to compete. Foo, you are truly a credit to team.

Asif Khan is the CEO, EIC, and majority shareholder of Shacknews. He began his career in video game journalism as a freelancer in 2001 for Tendobox.com. Asif is a CPA and was formerly an investment adviser representative. After much success in his own personal investments, he retired from his day job in financial services and is currently focused on new private investments. His favorite PC game of all time is Duke Nukem 3D, and he is an unapologetic fan of most things Nintendo. Asif first frequented the Shack when it was sCary's Shugashack to find all things Quake. When he is not immersed in investments or gaming he is a purveyor of fine electronic music. Asif also has an irrational love of Cleveland sports.
