During their E3 press conference, Sony revealed an all-new IP called Days Gone. 

Developed by Sony Bend, the game appears to take place during the apocalypse and stars a group of biker gang members. 

In the trailer, the main character reminisces about life before things fell apart, suggesting this story takes place shortly after things in the world have gone horribly awry. Check it out in the trailer below.
