E3 2016: Kit Harrington playing villain in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
The Game of Thrones actor will play the antagonist in an 'epic showdown of opposing forces.'
Activision confirmed via Twitter that Game of Thrones' actor Kit Harrington will play the villain in this fall's Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
"Kit is an amazing talent, and the consummate pro," said Infinity Ward Narrative Director Taylor Kurosaki (via PlayStation Lifestyle). "Our story is about an epic showdown of opposing forces, and Kit immersed himself into the role and truly became the embodiment of the enemy, the Settlement Defense Front. We can’t wait for fans to see Kit play an entirely different kind of character."
Harrington is best known for playing Jon Snow on HBO's Game of Thrones. He's been working closely with director Guy Ritchie, who headed up the live-action trailer that accompanied the announcement for 2012's Black Ops 2.
"It meant a lot to us to develop the role into everything it could be," added Dave Stohl, head of Infinity Ward. "We’re excited about the performance Kit delivered and can’t wait to get it out to the public. We’re committed to delivering a compelling story with rich character depth, and this was a special opportunity to add to our fantastic cast."
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare drops on November 4 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Premium editions of the game will include Call of Duty: Remastered, a fresh paint job for the fan-favorite game.

So he comes into the studio for a day, reads a few lines, do a 3D image scan his face, buy him lunch/dinner, a couple nights at the hotel, and then use an intern to do all the motion capture for the game. Figure the budget for that $90K. $80K for Kit, $7K for the scan, $2k for the airline tickets, $1950 for the meals/hotel/hookers, and $50 for the Intern.
Budget Approved!
