Destiny: Rise of Iron trailer leaks online
Bungie had a special trailer for Destiny: Rise of Iron to show us today, but as usual, it has leaked ahead of its official release.
Bungie is expected to introduce us to Destiny’s upcoming expansion, Rise of Iron, later today during a special livestream which will kick off at 10am PT / 1pm ET. While Guardians wait to see what the developer has in store for us, it appears a trailer for Rise of Iron has leaked in one of the hottest social media platforms for tweens and and millennials around the world, Snapchat.
The leaked trailer is a combination of an advertisement for Rise of Iron and its full trailer, which we assume Bungie would have released later today. The trailer once again confirms a number of yesterday’s leaks, including its September 20 release date, a new enemy faction, and expanded look at new areas of Old Russia.
Destiny: Rise of Iron is expected to introduce a wave of new content to the title, including a new story, new gear, a new raid, a new strike, a new zone, a new social space, a new Crucible mode and maps to play, and a new enemy faction and bosses.
While Destiny: Rise of Iron is expected to release in September, Bungie has scheduled a server maintenance period around the time of their upcoming livestream. Whether or not Guardians should expect some new content to be made available is still unknown, but we’d certainly like to hope so.
