XCOM 2 finally will invade PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
Mark September 6 on your calendar (September 9 if you are in Europe).
XCOM 2 was a pretty good game when it came out for PC in February, but console gamers weren't offered a place in the resistance. However, that will be changing on September 6, when PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users will finally get their chance to beat back the alien invasion.
Developer Firaxis will be partnering with The Workshop to bring the title to consoles. The base game will sell for $59.99, and a pre-order will get you the Resistance Warrior Pack, which includes bonus outfits, headgear and custom facial war paintas well as a recruit who is a "survivior of the old war." A pre-order of the Digital Deluxe Edition, gets the Resistance Warrior Pack, and all the paid DLC that has already been released for the PC version of the game. If the console versions hold true to the digital deluxe PC pricing, that will run $74.99.
“The incredible reception of XCOM 2 has been rewarding and humbling for the team, and we’ve known console fans have been clamoring to play the game too,” said Jake Solomon, creative director of XCOM 2 at Firaxis Games, in the press release. “As avid console players ourselves, we’re excited to work with The Workshop to bring XCOM 2 to all of our fans.”
