Rumor: Blizzard may be prepping a secret hero for Overwatch launch
Recent clues have been pointing to the inclusion of another hero launching alongside 21 others next week.
What would be better than Blizzard launching Overwatch next Tuesday with 21 heroes to choose from? How about 22?
Over the past few weeks, clues have pointed to the presence of another hero fighting alongside the nearly two dozen others Blizzard has prepared for the game's release next Tuesday, May 24—but not just any hero. Her name is Sombra, and she's a sniper if scuttlebutt found on NeoGaf can be believed.
"A French theater chain put out a teaser image claiming that a new hero would be unveiled," wrote user 'Nirolak.' The theater then backpedaled, claiming the tease was a typo. Nirolak isn't so sure, and presents a compelling case. He points out that Blizzard has confirmed that it's working on two new heroes, and is putting together a short film starring Soldier 76 and set in Dorado.
"This gives us our first clue," Nirolak wrote. "Way back in November, people noticed that there's a table in Dorado with files for Soldier 76/Jack Morrison and Sombra. Given Soldier 76 is Jack Morrison, this only leaves the mysterious Sombra file, which would fit with a Soldier 76 vs. Sombra animated short."
The long and short of the rumor is this: Sombra definitely exists. GameSpot noticed her in the character select screen when editors from the site traveled to Blizzard to shoot a making-of documentary on Overwatch's production. The question is, will she be ready at launch?
At the rate Blizzard faithful on the Internet get to the bottom of rumors, we'll probably know for sure before Overwatch releases digitally on May 24 (users interested in buying the game on disc can get copies a day early, but only to get through preloading; servers don't go live until Tuesday).

Cluster them together around blind corners. Their damage and slow stacks, so three together will seriously wreck someone. If you're in the room with them then your main gun will absolutely melt them.
Being aggressive in small rooms and around corners is good. She beats most heroes in a close range 1v1 (McCree and Mei are clear winners there). She hard counters Genjis and Tracers who can't manage their blink charges.
Her alternate fire is fantastic against Reinhardt pushes and stationary heroes like Bastion. Spam fully charged orbs down tight areas and corridors, you'll be surprised how much you hit.
A teleporter is a MASSIVE advantage to your team. A good team will be forced to run Tracers, D Vas, and other fast flanking heroes to hunt down the tele. Its annoying, but in the best circumstances it means that the enemy will be down a person in fights around the objective.
She takes a little getting hang of and she is the most map area dependent hero in the game (she's also TIME dependent since she relies on time to set up her turrets), but her impact when played well is huge. Even though she can go HAM with her gun, her main benefit is the sum of lots of intangibles. Seconds you slow the enemy or speed up your allies from the spawn, etc

She's had the highest win rate since before closed beta. Time is the most valuable resource in the game and she both slows down the enemy and speeds up the return of dead allies at the same time.
A rework of her E ability would be welcome, not because she's too weak or too strong, but because its nerfing did nothing to reduce her effectiveness while still being boring to use.
