Homefront: The Revolution unlocks today on consoles, Tuesday on PC
A day one patch has already been deployed to smooth over performance issues.
Homefront: The Revolution drops tomorrow for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, but console players can dig into the game tonight beginning at 9pm Pacific, per a report from GameSpot. The PC version will be available to play tomorrow.
Interested players can begin preloading the game on all players to cut down on waiting time. As soon as they get in, players will have to exercise just a wee bit more patience as the game downloads a day one patch meant to address performance and framerate issues.
Developed by Dambuster Studios, Homefront: The Revolution is the culmination of a wild and turbulent ride for both Homefront fans and the property itself. The original post-apocalyptic shooter was published by THQ and released in 2011 for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 to mixed reviews. THQ confirmed a sequel was in development before the publisher filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2012.
Sensing opportunity, Crytek swooped in and purchased the Homefront IP when it went up for sale along with other THQ properties in early 2013.

I know nothing about this game.
But when I read that it required another account and you earned credits to move the game forward, I lost any cursory interest I might have.
Please software people, enough with the accounts. Another password to manage and another one that I will inevitably have to reset. Tie that off to the whole credits thing and I'm done.
