New details regarding Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Dust Line revealed
Two new operators and a free map are just some of what await Siege players when the game's update hits this Wednesday, May 11.
This Wednesday should be an exciting day for fans of Rainbow Six Siege. Operation Dust Line, a brand new DLC pack, will contain two characters and a map, but those contains will be dispersed differently from players who have a season pass and those who don't.
According to GameSpot, the Border map will be free for everyone on Wednesday, May 11. However, only season pass holders will gain access to Valkyrie and Blackbeard, Dust Line's new operators bearing special abilities and equipment. Other players can unlock them beginning May 18 by cashing in Renown, Siege's in-game currency, or R6 credits, purchased for real money.
Dust Line will also introduce cosmetic changes such as charms, as well as new headgear to equip. In addition, players can cycle loadouts between rounds—ideal in situations where your equipment just isn't cutting it—and an MVP will be named following each match, replete with the winning team's characters put on display for all to see.
Ubisoft has other mechanical tweaks in mind. Tachanka's machine gun is supposed to be easier to deploy and operate, and IQ's gadget item comes with brand new visual feedback designed to make it easier to spot hostile enemies and gadgets.
Other changes are expected as well, though Ubisoft hasn't divulged specifics, and may not until Wednesday, Dust Line's official release date.

Hey Doz, one of the greatest aspects about Siege is that all the DLC is FREE for everyone that owns the game. The maps, the operators, everything. Buying the season pass only gets you the ops a week earlier than non season pass holders, that's it. Everyone gets the play the new maps immediately. Ops are unlockable with reknown, the in game XP you earn from playing.
