Capcom teases big plans for Resident Evil series
A 'full-scale offensive' is being planned for the Resident Evil series later this year.
Capcom has big plans for its Resident Evil series, according to its most recent financial results.
Capcom released a new financial results report earlier today, which included a number of items such as how well Street Fighter 5 sold, as well as mention of a “full-scale offensive” regarding the Resident Evil series.
Capcom says the release of Resident Evil Umbrella Corps, which is releasing on June 21 in North America, will serve as a “warm up” to this full-scale offensive that’s planned for the series in the second half of 2016.
Given Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5, and Resident Evil 6 are scheduled to release this Fall, we have a feeling this media blitz will have more to do with those titles than an unannounced “new” Resident Evil game. We also know Resident Evil 2 Remake is currently in development, so we could be hearing more about that as well later this year.
