Destiny's April update increases Light level to 335, new Prison of Elders challenges, and more
There's a lot to be expected in Destiny's April update, Guardian.
Bungie has revealed Guardians will be able to reach a new max Light level in Destiny’s April update, along with showing new content for Prison of Elders, and more.
When Destiny’s April update is released, Guardians will be able to increase their Light level from 320 to 335, which can be achieved by completing the new Challenge of the Elders mode.
The new Prison of Elders challenges will require Guardians to duke it out with Taken in a level 41 challenge. Matchmaking will be available for this challenge, which Bungie recommends Guardians above Light level 260 to attempt to take on. Variks will also offer Prison of Elders bounties that will rewards Guardians with House of Judgment reputation, while PoE enemies will also now drop engrams.
In addition to the PoE challenges, Bungie will also include a new mode called Challenge of the Elders which the developer says will offer “four months of varying challenges that won't repeat.” Player progress will be tracked on scorecards, similar to the Trials of Osiris, and is recommended is Light level 320.
Two new Strikes will be included in the April update: Winter’s Run and Blighted Chalice. The former is filled with Taken and a special version of the Archon Priest, while the latter features a powerful Taken prince named Malok.
Destiny's April Update will be available on April 12, which will require Guardians to own The Taken King in order to enjoy.
