The Division's Dark Zone expected to be tweaked for improved PvP engagement
We're sure this means there will be more Rogue Agents hanging around. Great.
The Division has just recovered from its latest server maintenance, and today, Massive Entertainment has announced changes it plans on making in its State of the Game weekly discussion.
According to Massive, the Dark Zone doesn’t have as an engaging PvP element as it originally anticipated, so it plans on adjusting its incentives in the near future. For Agents that decide to go Rogue, the death penalty may not be as harsh in future updates.
Rusher enemy types, which can be identified as enemies with a lightning bolt above them, have received a lot of criticism from players for being too strong. Unfortunately, Rushers don’t appear to be getting nerfed as Massive suggests players utilize all of your tactics in order to deal with them.
In addition to these updates, Massive is considering reducing its three-hour server maintenance period, although it will most likely be sticking with its 9am CET start every week. That means players should expect servers to be down every Tuesday morning starting at 1am PT / 4am ET. We should also be receiving more State of the Game updates every week.
