Techland confirms Hellraid has not been canceled and has 'big plans' for it
Now if only Techland could actually work on the game, that'd be swell.
Techland’s Hellraid has not been canceled and was only put on hold as the studio has big plans for the title, Techland CEO Pawel Marchewka confirmed.
Marchewka spoke with The Telegraph this week about a number of topics, one of which included Techland’s future once it moves on from Dying Light. His comments on Hellraid are short compared to the rest of the interview, but his words speak volumes for those who have been looking forward to learning more about the game. ““It’s been quite far in some places,” says Marchewka. “We put it on hold because we have bigger plans for this game, but it’s not cancelled!”
Hellraid was first announced back in April 2013, and since then, it’s had two major delays prior to it being put on hold. The reason for its most recent delay was due to Techland having to focus its resources on Dying Light: The Following.
To hear Hellraid has not been canceled, with Techland having “big plans” for the game give us a lot of hope for the title. Considering their track record, we have a feeling this is going to be a game you should be keeping an eye on. That is, whenever it goes back into development.
