Hitman disc release pushed back to 2017
Agent 47 needs to do some more training before he sneaks his way into retail.
The retail disc-based version of Hitman has been delayed to January 2017.
The retail version of Hitman was originally scheduled to be released sometime in 2016, but it appears IO Interactive needs a bit more time after its first season concludes in order to release “the best disc version” possible.
"This year is all about delivering the best episodic experience for Hitman and that takes us to Autumn/Fall," IO said in a statement submitted to Shacknews. "Releasing the disc version in January just makes sure we have enough time after the season concludes to dedicate to getting the best disc version of the game out."
Today’s news comes on the eve of the season premiere, which is set to launch digitally on March 11 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
