No Man's Sky PC and PS4 dated for release on June 21st
No Man's Sky will be available on both PC and PlayStation 4 this summer!
No Man’s Sky will be launching on June 21st on both PlayStation 4 and PC.
Earlier this week, we spotted a listing on the PlayStation Store that originally said the game would release on March 3rd, but its listing was quickly removed. Now that we know it’ll officially launch in June, it’s safe to say that original listing was for a pre-order of the game, rather than its full launch.
The PlayStation 4 version of No Man’s Sky will have a physical retail disc, which is already available for pre-order across a large number of retailers. PC owners won’t have a retail version of their own yet, but there is an Explorer’s Edition for the PC version that comes with a Tin Toy-Style Replica, an exclusive traveler pin, and a PC game code.
While No Man’s Sky will launch as a “complete game” in June, Hello Games plans on supporting the game through free updates post-launch. The developer has yet to mention if we should expect any paid downloadable content in its future.
It's been a long road for No Man's Sky as it was first revealed back in December 2013 and has always appeared to be quite the ambitious game. We've seen several gameplay trailers throughout the months it's been in development, and were even surprised to learn it'll be releasing on PC and PS4 at the same time. No Man's Sky even went mainstream by being demoed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and now that we have a release date, we can't wait to see how years of development has treated the game.
