Watch the Nintendo Direct livestream right here beginning at 2 PM PT
No NX or mobile news, just Wii U and 3DS.
I know, I know. Nintendo just had a quick and dirty briefing in the form of a special Pokemon Nintendo Direct last week. But there's another one today, March 3, at 2 PM PT/5 PM PT.
While Nintendo officially announced Pokemon Sun and Moon at the last presentation, this one is going to focus on the new Wii U and 3DS titles releasing throughout the summer. Nintendo has made it quite clear, however, that there won't be any news regarding Nintendo's mobile gaming plans or the NX at all.
Nintendo fans looking to expand their libraries (and fuel the hype train) can check out the stream right here at Shacknews as it kicks off today. What do you think will be shown off?

Before Nintendo adds new platforms to the VC on any platform, they need to unify purchases. I've bought dozens of games from the Wii VC, and while those carried over to my Wii U, none of my NES games (as an example of a classic platform whose titles are available on both the 3DS and Wii U shops) are playable on the 3DS.
Platform unity is so important, especially for a back catalog like Nintendo's. I don't want to buy digital copies of Super Mario World, Zelda: ALttP, etc. more than once. -

Any chance Zelda U is mentioned, even in passing?
I read that this Direct will focus on Wii U and 3DS titles to be released this spring and summer, and that there will be no mention of mobile games or the NX. That's fine. But it's been nearly 15 months since we got any new information on Zelda U. We don't even know the subtitle.
Just throw me a bone. :( -
