Forza Horizon 3 teased for E3 2016 announcement with Lamborghini Centenario as cover car
We can't imagine the next game in the Forza series being anything but Forza Horizon 3.
Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios have revealed the Lamborghini Centenario will be the cover car for its upcoming Forza game, which it announced will be showcased at E3 2016.
As for what the new Forza game will be, both companies are being tight lipped about it for now. Considering Forza Motorsport 6 released in September 2015 and Forza Horizon 2 launched in September 2014, we wouldn’t be surprised if the next game in the series was a new Horizon title.
What also makes us believe the next game will be Forza Horizon 3 is the fact the Centenario is a beast of a vehicle. Its 770 horsepower engine is able to power from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, and from 0-300 km/h in 23.5 seconds and has a top speed of over 350km/h. All that speed would be wasted on the twists and turns of Forza Motorsport’s professional tracks. It makes more sense for players to be able to drive the Centenario across expansive landscapes and roads, which the Forza Horizon series is known for.
We guess we’ll just have to wait until E3 2016 in order to hear more about Forza Horizon 3… uh, we mean whatever the next Forza game turns out to be. But if it isn’t Forza Horizon 3, then we’ll hang up our racing gloves.
