If you conider you Rocket League rank to be precious, you're going to want to read about these changes.
Psyonix has revealed new information regarding the second season of its hit game, Rocket League.
Based on its community feedback, Psyonix will be adding a Division indicator in addition with a player’s Skill Tier. A total of five divisions will be available within each Skill Tier: Division I, II, III, IV, and V. Players will progress through them sequentially, with those in Division V having their actual Skill Rating show, regardless if they're in the Top 100. Skill ratings will also be visible on the League Rankings screen, which will allow you to easily gauge how long it’ll be until you reach the Top 100.
Skill Tiers are being expanded to add more distinction at the highest levels of competitive play. There are now three ranks within Champion: Champion, Super Champion, and Grand Champion. As a result, the Star tier has been shuffled slightly, so those who were in the All-Star, Superstar, or Champion division may see your Skill Tier name and icon change with the Season 2 update.
Here’s how the new hierarchy will look:
There’s even more information regarding the Skill Tiers and Ratings over at the Rocket League page. If you want to ensure you’re at the top of the totem pole, you’re going to want to take it all in prior to the Season 2 update.
