Arma 3 is rumbling towards its next major expansion. But before Apex's eventual release, Bohemia Interactive has taken time to launch another anticipated update. The Eden Update is aimed more for content creators and modders by introducing the game's first 3D editor.

The Eden 3D Editor allows creators to craft their own scenarios from within the game itself, putting togehter custom scenarios in 3D. Many Photoshop-like tools, like layers, entities, and an undo function will be included, along with the full library of Arma 3 assets. Any scenarios created can be uploaded directly to the Steam Workshop. Those that have used the original scenario editor will find that the Eden 3D Editor is fully backwards compatible. More information on the Eden 3D Editor and its capabilities can be found on the Arma 3 website.

The latest Arma 3 update will also add a server browser, an audio upgrade, Steam Leaderboard support, and visual optimizations. For more on this free update, visit the game's Steam Announcements page and check out the video below.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
