Go Lock In Your Nintendo Account Name Now - Registrations Are Open!

If you've been waiting on pins and needles for Miitomo, Nintendo's first mobile app, and the Nintendo Account that comes with it, rejoice! Your moment has come. You can now go preregister for Miitomo and create a fresh new Nintendo Account before things get all hectic.

Right now you can head over to the official Miitomo site and follow the prompts to create a Nintendo Account that will be used as your key to My Nintendo, which will launch in March alongside Miitomo. It's a replacement for Club Nintendo and will offer interaction with Nintendo products as well as Platinum Points, goods, and more. You can also use it to unify your accounts across your Nintendo devices. Say goodbye to that old, wonky system.

Once you've created your new account, make sure you're preregistered for Miitomo if you're wanting to get into the Nintendo mobile scene. Miitomo, as we've discussed before, is a social app that wants to get you a little closer to your friends. You can create your own Mii within the app and give it a voice and personality, just like what we saw within Tomodachi Life. From there, you can get to know your buddies by answering questions, starting conversations, and more. Honestly, it sounds like a pretty interesting experience and I'm interested in trying it out.

Most importantly, you need to go secure your account so you can get a username that hasn't been taken yet. Go go go! And let us know what you choose.
