Upcoming Crash Bandicoot game possibly outed by major toy company
The director of NECA just let slip the possible revival of the Crash Bandicoot series.
It’s been nearly eight years since we’ve played a full-fledged Crash Bandicoot game, but it appears our long wait may soon be over as someone has just spilled the beans regarding the series’ possible revival.
In an interview with Pixel Dan at this weekend’s New York Toy Fair, NECA director of product development Randy Falk was going through a list of figures the company had partnered with Sony to create. In the interview, he mentions it’s working on figures for Kratos, Nathan Drake, and LittleBigPlant which are all expected to release soon. He then goes on to talk about NECA’s revived partnership with Sony, saying, “Finally, we've been able to get back in with Sony. Looking at some of their other titles, I see they're bringing Crash Bandicoot back, which is really cool."
As of now, Sony has yet to officially reveal a new Crash Bandicoot title, although it dropped a major hint earlier this month in the form of a tweet sent out by PlayStation Middle East. The tweet featured an image of Crash Bandicoot, but he looks to have received some kind of digital plastic surgery as he doesn’t quite look how we remember him. Regardless of his strange updated look, we're certainly looking forward to Crash Bandicoot's return, whenever that eventually happens.
