Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 beta launches on Xbox One, PS4 today
The war between Plants and Zombies is taken to a new level now that Garden Warfare 2's beta has launched.
EA and PopCap have launched the first-ever public multiplayer beta for Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The multiplayer beta will allows players limited access to the all-new Backyard Battleground, which is a massive, interactive environment that has a lot to be uncovered. Those who want to get in on the PvZ:GW2 action can jump right into a King of the Hill-inspired mode, called Flag of Power.
A total of six new playable character classes will be available during the beta, including Rose, Citron, and Kernal Corn for the plants while the zombies team can play as Imp, Super Brainz, and Captain Deadbeard. Players can also expect a returning roster of characters from the original Garden Warfare, and select variants including the Grass Effect Z7-Mech.
Beta participants will be able to enjoy 24-player multiplayer matches on two new maps: Herbal Assault on Moon Base Z; Gardens & Graveyards on Seeds of Times. More maps and modes will be rotated in every day.
To participate in the beta, all you’ll need to do is download the beta client on either Xbox Live or PlayStation Network. The PvZ:GW2 beta will continue through January 18.
