Rockstar North studio head Leslie Benzies is no longer with the company, according to a new report.

Rockstar has confirmed with Kotaku that Benzies went on sabbatical on September 1, 2014 and decided not to return to work for the company. “Leslie helped us build an incredible team that will continue to create great experiences for our fans,” the statement reads. “Leslie will always be a friend to the company and of course we are going to miss him but we wish him the absolute best for the future.”

Rockstar North is currently led by Aaron Garbut and Rob Nelson, both of whom have been long-time members of the company and have been credited as art directors on a number of major releases.

As of now, there's no word as to where Benzies will move on to.
