Steam games can now be permanently deleted from your library
Don't even think that you're getting a refund, though.
Steam users who really don’t want a game to be associated with their account can now proceed to delete it for good.
Reddit user Jay_Nullbuilt stumbled onto the option, which will now allow a Steam user to remove joke gifts, regretful purchases, and clear up their backlog clutter for good. It should be noted that removing a game from your Steam library does not give you a refund on your purchase, so if you want to get rid of a game you actually purchased, you may want to reconsider as we hear money does not, in fact, grow on trees.
Jay_Nullbuilt also learned games that were purchased as part of a bundle can’t be removed without deleting the entire bundle. “E.g. I want to remove Zombie Driver but it is part of 'Summer Sale Indie Bundle Day Seven' and will lose [my] other games too,” he says.
While we can certainly see the value of deleting joke gifts from Steam friends, we can’t imagine wanting to delete a game you actually purchased just to clear your library. We have libraries that have thousands of games, which can make it difficult to find something, but if you have a good category system, then you shouldn’t feel as overwhelmed with your Steam Library. Although if you really want to get rid of a game, head on over to Steam's Help site to get rid of your games.

Click "Games" (or whatever is currently listed) on the right hand side of the search bar. It will list all of the major categories (Games, Software, SteamVR, Recent, Installed, Favorites) as well as all your created categories.
Down at the bottom of the list below Tools and Downloads, there is Hidden. This is the only place those titles will appear after hiding them, unless you un-hide them.
