Activision has announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 exceeded $550 million in sell-through worldwide in the first three days it was available for sale, according to the company’s estimates. This makes Black Ops 3 the biggest entertainment launch of 2015, which includes movie ticket sales, music and book launches.

"Call of Duty's millions of passionate fans have shown us, yet again, the strength of their commitment to this enduring franchise," said Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick. "Call of Duty: Black Ops III is the biggest entertainment launch this year in any medium, and bigger than any theatrical opening weekend ever."

Black Ops 3 has set a number of records over the weekend as it became the best-selling digital full game by units sold in its first day of availability on PlayStation 4, became the most streamed and most viewed game of any title launch in 2015 on Twitch, and was played for over 75 million hours online by its fans during its opening weekend.

I wish I skipped the last two. This one was actually good.

Yeah. Ghosts was shit, but Blops 3 is good, even though it crashes loads on my computer. :(

I don't think I ever loaded Ghosts up. Kept meaning to but I was too absorbed in Tribes Ascend and Quake Live to touch it I think. I actually liked AW (though it felt a little too slow compared to Titanfall...but I thought the movement stuff was a nice idea (the execution was a little off, it was too jerky imho)).

Its funny because I think MW3 was my least favorite of the series.

Is Black Ops 3 all futuristic warfare like Advanced Warfare was? I hate that shit and much prefer the modern / ww2 scene.

      Fucking jump packs? Lame.

Key to your concern. The jump packs are super low-key. It's like having a double-jump that you can stretch out. It's nothing like AW where a dude just jumps out of your FOV, and then kills you from above. Way better.

It seems fairly well balanced with the rest of the game. Maybe a little too low key for my tastes (I prefer the wallrunning in Titanfall, or better yet; full blown strafe jumping Quake3 style or skiing Tribes style...but I'm a bit extreme in my tastes regarding that).
