NieR: Automata announced for PlayStation 4
Square Enix has unveiled its new NieR game, called NieR: Automata. Find out what you can expect from the game, as well as see its first gameplay trailer, here.
Square Enix teased a new NieR game would be announced this fall, and today, the publisher has finally announced NieR: Automata is currently in development by Platinum Games exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
NieR: Automata tells the story of the human race being drive from the earth after invaders from another world attack without warning. The humans are forced to take refuge on the moon where they develop an army of android soldiers to fight back against the ongoing threat: the machines. Their advances are slow, so humans create a new breed of android infantry, called the YoRHa squad, to hopefully take care of the mechanical threat once and for all.
Square Enix has released a new gameplay trailer for NieR: Automata. For a game that’s considered to be a work in progress, it looks really polished as the action looks fast and fierce.

Nier was a batshit crazy ARPG that at times acts like a bullet hell game, a text-based adventure, and requires playing through the game several times to actually get the entire story. It's some weird, dark shit too. It's also got a fantastic OST.
I hope this one is basically the ambiance of Nier with better gameplay (because the gameplay wasn't so hot, IMO)
