Street Fighter 5's new Brazilian fighter is Laura, not Blanka
Capcom has teased the inclusion of a Brazilian fighter in Street Fighter 5, and today, we're learning she's a completely new character, although she shares some similarities to Blanka.
Capcom has teased an upcoming Brazilian fighter would be added to its roster, hinting heavily it would be Blanka. It appears hinting at Blanka might have been to throw us off track as Laura, an all-new female character from Brazil, has been leaked.
In the images leaked by Famitsu, we can see Laura performing a number of grappling moves on Ryu that gives an indication that she is well versed in the ways of Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Laura appears to share some similarities with fellow Brazilian fighter Blanka. In some of the leaked images released today, we can see some electricity is damaging Ryu in a number of ways, including grapples and what looks like a projectile.
With today’s leak, we can’t imagine Capcom keeping quiet about Laura’s inclusion in Street Fighter 5 for too long. Expect to hear more about her during next week's Brasil Game Show.

Fighters in real life are not generally muscled like body builders. These games have always presented an exaggerated version of real life.
That said, I don't really get why they're going in the giant boob, cleavage direction. Some of their most iconic female characters lacked that trait and were probably better for it.
