It's a holiday weekend and that means there are a lot of games to catch up on. Steam is doing its part to help by offering free weekends for both Evolve and Killing Floor 2, the latter of which is in Early Access, so it's a good chance to see how that game's coming along without spending a dime. Meanwhile, UPlay is having a Back to School sale that not only discounts much of its catalog, but also throws in guaranteed beta access for both The Division and Rainbow Six Siege. And the Humble Store continues its End of Summer sale, which includes a chance to build your own Double Fine bundle. Check out the full list of deals below.

Senior Editor

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Is Killing Floor 2 just monster/zombie wave survival?

With between wave shopping, a Boss Fight, persistent Class Perks, and the best ballistics in an FPS. Still Early Access though. Still no Sharpshooter. Wow it's prettier than the first game!

Prettier I guess in fidelity, I find the art design and textures to be cluttered though.

After a while with the large mobs I feel like I am just shooting into a mass of gibs. It's a little too much.

A worthy successor. And it's cool when new stuff comes out and you get to experience it with everyone the first time. Everyone gets to be a noob.

Played some pyro last night and enjoyed it, though I have no clue what the microwave gun is supposed to be and the Caulk gun thing was okay, but just felt like a mini-flamethrower.

I played normal with a bunch of noobs like you said and we won both. You do get a lot less healing with newbies and almost always a beserker who doesn't have a clue. Still, was decently enjoyable.
