Halo Wars 2, a sequel in a long dormant offshoot of the Halo series, will release for both Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs in fall 2016. The announcement comes as a final reveal at the Microsoft Gamescom 2015 press event. A brief look at the story can be found in the trailer below.

The original Halo Wars is a real-time strategy game released exclusively for Xbox 360 in 2009, and covered the ongoing battle between Covenant and human UNSC forces.
