Super Smash Bros. 1.1.0 update goes live with Tournament mode and YouTube uploads
Both Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS have been updated, with both games getting some long-awaited features, as well as some new DLC.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS have received an update. Both games have made the jump to 1.1.0, which adds a slew of new features for no extra charge. This includes the new Tournament mode, as well as support for YouTube uploads for the Wii U version.
Additional stages and Mii Fighter costumes have also been added. This list includes (via Nintendo Life):
- Hyrule Castle (Super Smash Bros. 64) Stage - $1.99 each, $2.99 for both
- Peach's Castle (Super Smash Bros. 64) Stage - $1.99 each, $2.99 for both
- Samus's Armour Mii Outfit - $0.75 each, $1.15 for both
- Lloyd Set Mii Outfit - $0.75 each, $1.15 for both
- Black Knight Mii Outfit - $0.75 each, $1.15 for both
- Chrom Mii Outfit - $0.75 each, $1.15 for both
- Flying Man Mii Outfit - $0.75 each, $1.15 for both
- King K. Rool Mii Outfit - $0.75 each, $1.15 for both
- Bear Suit Mii Outfit - $0.75 each, $1.15 for both
- Hoodie Mii Outfit - $0.75 each, $1.15 for both
All of these Mii Fighter costumes can be purchased as a bundle for $6 ($9.20 for both games), while all of the costumes and the two new stages can be picked up for $9.98 ($15.18 for both games).
Now, as has been the case for all of the Smash Bros. updates, Nintendo has not included any sort of patch notes. And once again, the folks at Smashboards have stepped up to gather any changes themselves. These changes include:

- Down Tilt knockback angle altered to 48 degrees from 60 degrees
Captain Falcon
- Back Air damage reduced from 14% to 13%
- Rapid jab displacement frames reduced
Charizard
- Forward tilt sweetspot damage increased to 11% from 10%
- Down Tilt windbox added that pushes opponents inwards
Diddy Kong
- Down Smash knockback growth on both hits increased
Donkey Kong
- Up Smash hitbox size increased
- Forward Smash hitbox size increased
- Dash Attack hitbox duration and start-up altered
Dr. Mario
- Up Smash growth increased
Duck Hunt
- Jab hitboxes altered, third strike damage increased to 5% from 4%
- Forward Smash second and third hitbox sizes increased
Fox
- Jab first and second hitbox properties altered, multi-hit contains a new hitbox
- Shine (Down + B) hitbox duration increased to 2 frames from 1, hitbox size and horizontal displacement increased
- Blaster (B) end frame reduced
Ganondorf
- Forward Air damage increased to 17/18% from 16/17%
- Up Throw damage increased to 10% from 7%
- Down Smash second hit knockback and hitbox size increased
Greninja
- Water Shuriken (B) start-up time decreased
- Down Throw damage decresed to 5% from 6% and ending reduced to 42 frames from 49
Ike
- Up Air growth reduced to 94 from 100, base increased to 55 from 40
- Down Throw collateral hitbox moved
Kirby
- Forward Throw damage reduced to 5% from 7%
- Inhale (B) start-up and end reduced by 4 frames
Link
- Dash & Pivot grabs, Up + B special altered slightly
Little Mac
- Neutral B full charge altered to 6 frames from 7
- Neutral B full charge early sweetspot extended for 2 extra frames, later hitbox extended by 4 frames
- Jolt Haymaker (Side B) hitbox duration increased to 7 frames from 5
Lucas
- Forward Air damage increased to 9% from 8%
- Forward Tilt hitbox size increased
- Down Tilt hitbox displacement and angle altered
- Grab box size increased
Lucina
- Neutral Air first hit damage increased to 3.325% from 2.375%
- Neutral Air second hit damage increased to 7.6% from 6.55%
- Up Tilt damage increased to 7.6/8.1% from 6.65%/7.125%
- Forward Air landing lag reduced to 16ms from 18ms
- Up Air landing lag reduced to 14ms from 16ms
- Down Air landing lag reduced to 24ms from 28ms
- Back Air landing lag reduced to 17ms from 19ms
- Dolphin Slash (Up + B) landing lag reduced to 20ms from 23ms
- Shield Breaker (B) end frame reduced to 50ms from 52ms
Luigi
- Forward Air damage decreased to 8% from 9%
- Super Jump Punch (Up + B) grounded knockback growth increased, grounded hitbox size increased, aerial hitbox size increased
- Down Tilt angle and growth altered
- Fireball (B) end frame increased to 43ms from 40ms
Marth
- Neutral Air first hit damage increased to 3/4% from 2/3%
- Neutral Air second hit damage increased to 7/9% from 6/8%
- Forward Air landing lag reduced to 16ms from 18ms
- Up Air landing lag reduced to 14ms from 16ms
- Down Air landing lag reduced to 24ms from 28ms
- Back Air landing lag reduced to 17ms from 19ms
- Dolphin Slash (Up + B) landing lag reduced to 20ms from 23ms
- Shield Breaker (B) end frame reduced to 50ms from 52ms
Meta Knight
- Forward Tilt, Forward/Back Air, and Down Smash moves more accurately match hitboxes
Mewtwo
- Forward Throw projectile orb damage increased to 2% from 1.5% (total damage increased to 13% from 10.5%)
- Down Smash growth increased
- Forward Tilt hitbox duration decreased to 2 frames from 3
Palutena
- Invisibility on dodges altered
- Forward Tilt hitbox sizes and frames altered
- Down Tilt hitbox sizes increased
- Neutral Air hitbox sizes increased
- Forward Air damage increased to 8% from 7%
Pit
- Jab rapid finisher hitboxes altered
- Arrow (B) end frame reduced
Robin
- Up Smash 'Levin sword' hitbox size altered
- Forward Air 'Levin sword' damage increased to 12.5% from 11%
- Forward Air 'Bronze sword' damage increased to 7.5% from 6.6%
- Down Throw growth/base altered
- Up Throw damage increased to 9% from 8%
- Thunder (B) damage increased to 4.5% from 3%
- Elthunder (B) damage increased to 10.5% from 9%
- Endframe reduced on Elthunder and Arcthunder
Sheik
- Forward Air landing lag increased by 1-2 frames
Shulk
- Back Slash (Side B) framerate increased
- Up Air hitbox trajectory and size altered
Sonic
- Forward Smash growth decreased
Toon Link
- Neutral Air landing lag reduced
Wii Fit Trainer
- Sun Salutation heal effect increased to 2% from 1%
- Side Special landing lag reduced
- Forward Smash hitbox sizes increased
- Up Smash hitbox, knockback growth increased
- Down Smash damage increased to 12/10% from 10/8%
- Neutral Air hitbox increased by 2 frames
- Forward Air growth increased by 2 frames
- Back Air growth increased by 2 frames
- Up Air growth increased by 2 frames
- Grab/Dash Grab/Pivot Grab box vertical displacement lowered

- Back Air aerial hitbox angle altered

- Down Tilt damage increased to 5.5% from 4%

- Phantom Slash (Down + B) end frame reduced, windboxes on Slash altered to reduce blind spots
