New World of Warcraft expansion will be announced at Gamescom next week
Blizzard will be announcing the next expansion for World of Warcraft in a live stream event at Gamescom next week.
Blizzard has announced it will be holding a special event at Gamescom where it plans on discussing the next expansion for its popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft.
The event will take place on August 6 at 9am PDT, and lucky for fans around the world, it will be live streamed for all to watch.
World of Warcraft’s previous expansion, Warlord of the Draenor, was released in November 2014. While today’s news of a new expansion is one many World of Warcraft players have met with excitement, it’s rare for Blizzard to announce a new expansion so close to the release of another one.
We should note, however, next week’s announcement doesn’t mean we’ll be getting the next expansion any time soon. Blizzard could announce WoW’s next expansion and release it several months later after working with its community to help tweak it.
Tune in next week as we'll be sure to report what the next expansion for World of Warcraft will be.

Yeah but there's gotta be another expansion at some point, I doubt they're all still fully invested in these patches. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do with it, the game is better than ever with 2.3. Don't care much about the plot though, that'll probably be a hot mess no matter what.
