2K and Firaxis Games announced Civilization: Beyond Earth’s first expansion, Rising Tide, will be released this fall. While we were given a walkthrough of the upcoming expansion back at E3 2015, a new featurette was released today that gives us a better understanding of how to successfully colonize the seas on various alien worlds.

The nearly three-minute video give us a quick look at new terrains we’ll be able to discover, resources to gather, and aliens to encounter. We’re also introduced to some new units, such as patrol boats and submarines, while enhanced amphibious versions of explorers and colonists can also be seen.

The new Rising Tide video gives a nice overview of the upcoming expansion to Civilization: Beyond Earth, although we have a feeling if you’re reading this story, you may very well know everything that’s already shown in this video.
