Get ready to beat your wallets into submission as the Steam summer sale will be taking place today at 1pm ET / 10am PT.

We heard reports of the Steam summer sale taking place on June 11 a few weeks ago through Valve’s official VKontakte page saying it will be taking place at 20:00 Moscow Time. PayPal then added fuel to the speculation fire by sending out a promotional image for Steam users to stock on up Steam Wallet Codes from the PayPal Digital Gift Store to prepare for the summer sale, which they also say is starting on June 11.

The Steam summer sale is expected to last from today until June 21. Steam will then begin its Encore Sale until June 23, giving Steam users a total of 12 days of sales to take advantage of.

Between the Steam summer sale and E3, this is going to be quite the stressful week for gamers around the world as we’ll be completely engrossed with hearing about the latest video games to come from the big show, to then buy and play as many as our wallets can support.
