Report: Destiny's The Taken King introduces subclasses and new raid on Sept. 15
According to a new report, we can expect to play the next piece of DLC for Destiny this September.
Destiny’s next piece of downloadable content is expected to be called The Taken King, will feature a new subclass for each Guardian class, and a new raid, according to a new report.
The report sources marketing materials that outline The Taken King’s price and contents. The $40 expansion will include a new raid that has Guardians fighting against Oryx, father of Crota, who we’ve tangoed with in the past in Crota’s End.
The new subclasses have also been reportedly detailed, although the information is superficial as all we know are the elemental super abilities for each Guardian class. Warlocks will have an arc super attack, a void elemental attack for Hunters, and a solar attack for Titans.
Activision’s CEO Eric Hirshberg revealed Destiny would be receiving a “major content release” later this year. At the time, he said the publisher would announce the major content release for the fall. Considering this report claims The Taken King will be out on September 15, this leads us to believe this is probably the piece of content Hirshberg was eluding to.
