Heroes of the Storm begins Johanna's crusade today
Heroes of the Storm has officially launched, but there's still another Hero about to step into the Nexus. It's Diablo 3's Johanna the Crusader.
She was originally revealed during yesterday's launch stream, but Heroes of the Storm is officially launching today with a brand-new character. Fans of Diablo 3 will be ecstatic to see that Johanna the Crusader is stepping into the Nexus.
As discussed during yesterday's stream, Johanna will be one of Heroes of the Storm's most durable tank warriors. Her unique trait allows her to absorb all sorts of punish, while moves like her Condemn will pull nearby opponents towards her, setting them up for a powerful attack from teammates. Her Falling Sword skill can also launch her towards foes.
Look for Johanna to join the Heroes of the Storm roster later today. In the meantime, check out that trailer one more time.
Update: Blizzard is going into more detail on Johanna's skills and talents with a new Hero Spotlight video, which can be seen below.

A directional aura of protection would have been interesting. Not just a generic radial, but you have to set the direction and the aura would provide a dmg reduction for your team. I have not idea if that's a good idea or not. But, it something different and requires a bit more skill to use effectively than just standing still.

hmmm. Either the aura would have to last like 10-15 second to really make the team want to kill the tank, or the dmg reduction has to be really high. But, I think a long aura would have the affect of wanting to kill the tank to get that off. Could be cancelled by a stun, but then you blew your stun.
