Gearbox Software, best known for their work with the Borderlands series, announced a new project last year called Battleborn. A few months later, we were treated to a gameplay video of Battleborn in action, although the studio has been quiet about the title since then. That will all change in a couple of weeks as Take-Two Interactive plans on sharing more information on Battleborn in the weeks leading up to E3 and will have a significant showing at the event.

“Next month, Battleborn will be at E3 in a big way and we will have more news to share about the title prior to the show,” Take-Two president Karl Slatoff said during a recent earnings call. He also mentioned Battleborn will include an accelerated character growth system, which will allow players to fully experience each of the game’s unique heroes in single-player or multiplayer.

Considering we still don't know much about Battleborn outside of what was revealed last year, Gearbox could be expected to gain a lot of attention at E3 for Battleborn. If it's anywhere near as addictive as the Borderlands series is, then we're all in serious trouble. Let's just hope the humor is also there since that's what kept many coming back to the Borderlands series.

Battleborn is expected to launch some time prior to April 2016.
