We heard Mad Max was going to be developed by Avalanche Studios, the studio behind Just Cause, back in June 2013. But since then, we haven’t heard much about it, even pointing out that it was completely nowhere to be seen at E3 2014. Today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Avalanche Studios have broken their silence by releasing a gameplay overview trailer.

The trailer gives us a glimpse into what kind of obstacles Max faces after he has lost his family, his sanity, and most heart wrenching, his car. We get to see Mad Max’s car customization, vehicular and melee combat, and a number of other activities we can expect during our time in the Wasteland.

Mad Max will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 1, 2015, approximately four months after the new film, Mad Max: Fury Road, is released. Let’s just see if fans of the film will go nuts for the game several months after its release.
